Guatemala – March 16, 2026 Updates

Our local partner will travel to the community on March 12 to present these initial concepts and coordinate with community leadership (COCODE) and the water commission to schedule a visit to San Cristóbal Verapaz (partner’s office). During that visit, the community will participate in an online meeting with the Denver team. We anticipate that this discussion will provide valuable feedback to help us narrow our design options, advance to 60%+ designs, and ultimately develop a hybrid solution that incorporates the strongest elements of each alternative.

On the fundraising front, we are continuing to work with Rotary, and recently presented the project at CDM Smith.

The Secoyon, Guatemala project is a potable water storage effort aiming to alleviate seasonal shortages for a rural community. Lacking a reliable spring, rainwater is their primary source of drinking water.
