Guatemala – May 8, 2026 Updates

The project recently met directly with the leadership of Secoyon (their COCODE) where we discussed our alternatives, their input, and their experience during this dry season. With the help of our NGO, Suci, we plan to pursue a rainwater harvesting solution on communal buildings while we assess locations for large concrete communal tanks. Our team is working on the design and procurement of these concrete tanks. For fundraising, our team is pursuing our rotary connections and corporate relationships to raise money for implementation.

The Secoyon, Guatemala project is a potable water storage effort aiming to alleviate seasonal shortages for a rural community. Lacking a reliable spring, rainwater is their primary source of drinking water.
